Comment Updates

Just letting everyone know that I’ve set comments to automatically close on posts older than 3 months. The reason I did this is because I’m tired of getting spam on those posts of “where can I download xyz“. I already have this written in my about page but I will repeat myself one more time, any comments asking for download links will be deleted. I’m not a download site, if you need to find downloads, use google and find download sites, don’t come here asking me to be your torrent tracker.

This is a review blog and a personal game diary – so please stop annoying me and have a spiffy day! (￣Σ￣;)

Blogroll cleanup!

Alrighty, my blogroll is pretty small but it seems like some blogs on it have…died or are on their deathbeds I plan to do a blogroll cleanup sometime at the end of next week but before I do I’m going to list those blogs who will be cut. If you think you plan to update your blog in the near future and don’t want to get cut please comment!

I know you recently updated your blog Kana but from your last entry I’m under the impression that you pretty much /quit with pangya because of the crap us server and I think you’re busy at 98.1 the fan right? Anyway please let me know by the end of next week if you plan to keep your blog updated. If not I’ll assume your blog’s dead & take you off. If you come back from hiatus feel free to stop by my blog and let me know of your glorious return though!

Additionally, if you have a pangya/mmogame related blog as well as eroge/otome game blog that you would like to trade links with please let me know. No anime blogs please, that stuff goes on my other blog.

LaTale Licensing Mystery

What the...

Ok it’s not that I play La-Tale nor do I give a crap about 2D side scrollers but I got an email today from AERIA inviting me to join their LaTale closed beta. Wait a minute…..I thought OGPlanet had the license to LaTale?! Is it possible for more than 1 company to own license to a game? I first thought OGP was dropping yet another game but looking @ OGP’s site it doesn’t seem like they’re dropping it anytime soon. If it  IS indeed possible for more than 1 company to have rights to a game I’d be interested in hoping that GamepotUSA someday picked up Pangya and made it as awesome as Pangya JP… XD Oh well wishful thinking!

Just can’t get back into RO. :(

In Soviet Russia...

No matter how much I try I just can’t get back into Ragnarok Online. I think the problem is I’ve played this game for so many years I know it inside and out. The only “new” things are whatever customs a private server has, but most of the time those customs are annoying overpowered donation items. It didn’t help last night that the server crashed and some of my friends couldn’t even create characters. In addition there’s constant buying/selling global spam in the chat. I haven’t encountered it myself but there’s a ton of ks’er reports, a lot of complaints that the GM is never on (I’ve never seen the GM on yet). It reminds me of when I went RO server hopping and I’m just so tired of it. Most private servers are poorly run, or they start out ok, but then get shitty as the community grows and the GMs stop giving a rat’s ass.

My goal was mainly to check out Moscovia but it’s no different than any other “new map” that Korea has added. Sure we got some Matreoshka’s everywhere, but the rest looks like any other RO island and the field looks like any other RO field with some different monsters in it. I guess because RO has had the same “system” for years and years I know it so well that  my interest just dies. I’m probably going to uninstall this game today, but for those of you who downloaded it and never played RO (or haven’t played in a few years) I do recommend you at least check it out for a couple of days.  The prime of my RO years was like 2004-2005 but now I just can’t get back into it.

I have plans to play & review some eroge on this site so I’ll probably just focus on that instead, in addition to Wii Pangya. Speaking of Pangya it looks like they are holding a poll to name the servers until the 15th. That means that until the 15th the server is still going to be down. I’m guessing release is scheduled for end of April? (April 30th? lol)

Gamepot opening up a US Company

Heard the news from MMOSite. Looks like Gamepot Japan, the same company who runs Japan Pangya will be opening up a USA branch called Gamepot USA. I guess it’s too late to ask them to pick up Pangya instead right? Let’s hope they bring over some interesting games and run them as well as they run JP Pangya.

Back after an awful downtime.

On Sunday our entire blog domain and every blog on it got majorly DDOSed (probably by angry SC fans) and our host kicked us out completely. To make a long story short, my game blog will be moving here but unfortunately I do not have access to import all my old entries in – nor will I bother doing so for various reasons. I have an aisp@ce post I’d like to post either later tonight or tomorrow. With the new blog I’ve also decided not to blog Poupee Girl events for more lengthy reasons I’m not going into. As of now this blog is only going to focus on ai sp@ce and Pangya Japan.

I’m also opening public comments so you don’t have to register comment. If it gets too spamtastic I’ll close to regged users again but we’ll roll with it open for now. For those linking to me if you could update your bookmarks I’d appreciate it.
