Need to chanel your rage at an MMO game or company somewhere? Well /gg FTW! has opened up a game and company ratings section on their site. That’s right, now you can take all that rage away from the company’s forums (where it will be deleted and you will be banned anyway) and instead out to the public eye!

I’ve already made an account and I’m making my way flaming shit left & right =DD. /gg ftw indeed!

What the…Bright Shadow coming in English!

Didn't see that one coming!

I only discovered this because I got the URL of the official site as a blog hit. That’s right it turns out that Bright Shadow is coming in English and licensed by no other than….GamepotUSA!   It’s pretty weird since Gamania Japan has the license to the Japanese one, but Gamepot USA is picking up the English one o_O. Hmm haha I don’t know what to think. I’ve not really kept up with the Japanese bright shadow much but from what I saw basically their only updates were lottery items and the lottery in BS is really terrible – you only get 1 piece of an outfit and you have the chance of getting a piece of an outfit that only lasts for 7 days so it’s not even permanent! @_@ In addition to the terrible TERRIBLE physics and clipping, as well as pretty much no places to save so you gotta keep running back & forth and the lack of WASD…make this a pretty crappy game hahaha. But maybe they improved it recently? I doubt it though to be honest. Oh well I suppose this will attract some kind of an audience, maybe I’ll sign up for a closed beta for shits & giggles and compare the two or something.

Isn’t it funny how all these MMOs that I tried in Japan are suddenly getting licensed? Are game developers reading my blog?

Edit: The Game Features page lists “eye dye” and “Gender free armor” wut? I’m 100% sure that I’ve gotten male pants dropped from a monster before and I have to give them to JP and vice versa. Did they implement a ton of new shit in the last 3 months or something? Guess we’ll have to see!

Prius Online coming in English

Looks like Netmarble (in English??) is planning to release Prius Online for all of us non Japanese. Hooray, now you guys can all stop spoofing your mac addresses and using bootleg proxies/vpns to connect to the Japanese servers. On the other hand, most US licensed games turn out like crap…and without Tamura Yukari voicing the loli it’s just not the same anymore. Oh well when the English version is out, if I’m not busy with any other games, I might give it a shot just to see what it’s like. I heard Japan recently added like 12 new classes or something so maybe that’s something to look forward to.

LaTale Licensing Mystery

Ok it’s not that I play La-Tale nor do I give a crap about 2D side scrollers but I got an email today from AERIA inviting me to join their LaTale closed beta. Wait a minute…..I thought OGPlanet had the license to LaTale?! Is it possible for more than 1 company to own license to a game? I first thought OGP was dropping yet another game but looking @ OGP’s site it doesn’t seem like they’re dropping it anytime soon. If it  IS indeed possible for more than 1 company to have rights to a game I’d be interested in hoping that GamepotUSA someday picked up Pangya and made it as awesome as Pangya JP… XD Oh well wishful thinking!

The game was recently re-launched in the U.S. and includes content for Pangya’s Season 3.
